Renee presented the slides on behalf of all three liasions.
She expressed the hope that the talk would answer some of the questions that arose during the PCW.
The SCOC have a meeting on Sept 13 to approve the simulations for the baseline survey strategy.
Renee reminded everyone that they are attempting to maximize the science return from LSST, which in practice means "minimizing unhappiness" rather than "maximizing happiness".
The next SCOC-community workshop will be on Nov 16 -17, 2021, with a third in summer/fall 2022. The SCOC is currently discussing the format for the workshop and would welcome input.
In response to the Cadence Notes from 2020, the SCOC formed 'reading groups' around individual questions and evaluated them across all contributors. The resulting discussions have lead to a draft set of recommendations.
Cadence question 1:
No single answer to the area vs Nvisits trade-off, but where the area is located is recognised to be critical to a range of science. A low-dust main survey region was identified, with additional regions for the Bulge, NES, etc.
Cadence question 2:
