Agenda:

Review of Community-contributed Metrics

Will Clarkson and Rachel Street have compiled updated information about all community-contributed metrics in this spreadsheet, based on information that was gathered for previous metric workshops and this year's PCW sessions.

Rachel has reached out to the authors of several metrics for updated information.

It has been noted that there are multiple metrics for each science goal, but not all of them are run because it is unclear how this links to the science return. The MAF team has received complaints about running too many metrics.

So the goal is to group the contributed metrics by science content requested by the community

We also need Figures of Merit on a traffic-light system, with an emphasis on hard limits if the science becomes impossible at any stage. Consider percentage increase or decrease in science return as this is easy for the team to interpret. Indicate order of preference to indicate which metrics are most important for each science case.

Next goal: Identify groups of metrics for each science topic that the community would like to be run for all OpSims.

Igor asked who the new documentation should be addressed to - the SCOC or the MAF team.
